Winchmore Hotel Access Statement

The Winchmore Hotel is a Victorian building which has been converted into a Hotel and is not suitable for anyone who is completely wheelchair bound.

We have a policy of trying to provide as much easy access as possible.

Although some of our bedrooms are suitable for wheelchair users, we have not yet been able to install bathroom facilities for anyone completely wheelchair bound.

We have installed a lift which allows 10 of our bedrooms to accessed without any steps. A further 2 of our bedrooms have 1 step and a further 5 bedrooms have 2 steps.

From the car park at the rear of the Hotel, the entrance door has a step of approximately 3 inches where temporary ramps are available or Guests can ring the bell provided and ask for assistance. Thereafter the dining and games rooms which are on this same lower ground floor have no steps.

Up 1 floor in the lift is the reception area, bar area and our 2 lounges which is the ground floor again with no steps. There are 2 steps to the ground floor Ladies toilet, the Gents toilet has no steps.

The Hotels front entrance from the promenade has 5 steps and is on the ground floor.

All public transport is less than 500 yards away.

The evening meal menu is in large print.
